Three Things

I am currently obsessing over:

1. Buying a house
2. Work Projects including a large digitization project, Archon v. Archivist's Toolkit, and a presentation I'm giving at MAC
3. Battlestar Galactica and what it means to be human. Also finally read Children of Men which I believe to be about the same topic.

1. !!!!!!
2. Is this the one in AUSTIN?
3. I have a mental block against watching the last few episodes. Have you seen the movie Children of Men? I thought that was pretty good...

1. Yes it remains true, I may buy a house
2. No, in St. Louis at the end of the month and I am...uh...not quite done with the slides
3. The movie was exceptional but they radically changed the story. Two very, very different stories, with very different characters, and thus implications. As for your Battlestar mental block, I'm very sorry. I keep wanting to send you things but I can't. I sent them to Jeremy instead!

What it means to be human: Does this relate to our conversation at Wild Eggs about transferring our memories/personalities to a harvested body?

Rafia: I am glad you finally watched Sometimes a Great Notion, if I am translating your email correctly. Also that was an awesome X files link!

Susan: Yes, as a matter of fact it is very closely related to that conversation, which was pretty awesome. Also how humans are capable of great good, great evil, and lots of ambiguity in our actions. Also the survival instinct. And much, much more.

re: 1. They make many special paints nowadays. Magnetic paint! chalkboard paint! GLITTER PAINT! I just thought you should know.

I just thought I'd add, in relation to Rafia's chalkboard paint comment, that I plan to have an entire wall of corkboard in my future house that I will decorate with whatever the hell I feel like putting up there. (There's also dry erase paint. Imagine the games of pictionary that you could play!)
